Vacation. all I ever wanted
We got back from vacation on Thursday evening. After 10 days in a very small car with two shrieking children, it was good to be home. Not that vacation wasn't great, it was. Including California, we hit 6 states: Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada (in that order). We saw 4 national parks (The grand Canyon, Arches, Bryce and Zion.) Jason took many MANY pictures, which will be up on flickr shortly. [speaking of Flickr, I'm too cheap to update the free account so only the most recent 200 pics are up] The reason for the vacation was to attend George and Jeannine's wedding in Colorado. I have to say it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to. It was held at Lyonscrest manor in Lyons, CO. GORGEOUS, breathtaking views and perfect weather helped. We also got to see my Uncle Ronnie and two of my cousins, Emily and Nolan. Nolan has grown incredibly since the last time I saw him (about 3 years ago) and Jason had fun interrogating Emily, who is home from her first year at Princeton. We missed Rachel, who was herself at a wedding, and Annie, who was sleeping off a night shift. We're hoping they come out here and visit (hint hint Ronnie) sometime soon. However, we really loved Colorado and hope to go back and visit soon. Maybe we'll convince my parents or sister to come along.
Anyway, we're back and finally rested. I'll try to blog a little more later.
